Reid Wodicka

Principal

Reid is a seasoned local government and school division executive who has led large and small communities and public institutions across Virginia.

Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer for one of Virginia's largest school divisions, Reid leads core student-facing operations for the division's nearly 65,000 students and 12,000 employees in 69 schools. This includes providing strategic leadership for new construction management and capital planning, facilities maintenance, student transportation, student assignment planning and space-use planning, and school safety and security.

Previously, he was Deputy Superintendent for Operations and Strategic Planning at Lynchburg City Schools and Deputy City Manager for the City of Lynchburg. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was appointed Interim City Manager, leading the city through a year of sustained emergency conditions. Earlier in his career, Reid also served as the Deputy County Administrator for Bedford County, VA, and Town Manager for Woodstock, VA and Elkton, VA. While in local government management, Reid mantained ICMA Credentialed Manager status.

Reid has taught local government and leadership courses at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and James Madison University.
