Jonathan Wright

Jonathan is a retired Deputy Fire Chief with more than 35 years in fire and emergency services, including a 32-year career with the City of Lynchburg, VA Fire Department, where he also served as Interim Fire Chief before his retirement.
As Deputy Chief, he led Community Risk Reduction, Health and Safety, Logistics, Data Analysis, and Training and Professional Development. His work in community risk reduction earned a Governor's Award through a collaborative partnership with outside agencies.
Jonathan began his career as a volunteer with the Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department in 1991, where he served in both administrative and line officer roles and was recognized with Lifetime Membership in 2008.
